A: MINUTE CONTEST: get your lyrics heard on MTV!

Get creative, spread knowledge, inspire action…

Picture this: Grammy Award-winning artist Common steps up to the mic, the MTV cameras are rolling, the beat kicks in, and millions of viewers are listening to YOUR LYRICS! Common is looking for your original lyrics or poetry addressing why getting tested for HIV is so important – and the winning submission will be performed by him on multiple MTV networks!

A: MINUTE CONTEST is open to anyone between the ages of 13 and 25.  Original lyrics that promote HIV testing must be submitted between February 14th and March 27th 2008.

There are more than 33 million people worldwide living with HIV – and more than half of all new HIV infections around the world are among those under the age of 25. Here’s your chance to speak out and spark awareness about these terrifying statistics.

This contest is part of an extensive information campaign run by The Kaiser Family Foundation and MTV.
