i-genius world summit, Phuket, Thailand, 13th – 16th March 2008
We have now finalised the details for our world summit in Thailand! This event will bring together the most creative and innovative social entrepreneurs, focusing on the four themes of:
i. Opportunities for social entrepreneurs in a changing world
ii. Communications
iii. Network and partnership building
iv. Funding
The summit is a fantastic opportunity to develop your ideas, be part of stimulating social change, meet great people and form partnerships with other social entrepreneurs, corporations, agencies, and media organisations. We will also be launching the 'i-genius award' at our Gala dinner, for the most inspiring social entrepreneur within our community.The conference will be held at the superb 5 star Indigo Pearl resort, which not only provides us with a stunning and inspiring venue, but is also eco-friendly, consistent with our desire to run an ethical event.

What do you think about when you go on holiday?
Holidaying is often a time of self-reflection and self-examination. In the spirit of the European holiday season, i-genius set off to Spain's Costa del Sol and asked its beach inhabitants one simple question 'What do you think about when you go on holiday?'
To our surprise it turned out that more people – 67% no less – would rather have a 'great new job and do something more meaningful' than said they wanted to 'lose weight', 'becoming a celebrity' or even 'spend more time with their family (many however were with their family when they answered our survey)'. Fertile territory it would seem for i-genius' mission to encourage more people to become social entrepreneurs.
To publish the results of the survey, i-genius hosted a 'summer party' in London's Soho. A big thanks to our UK based members who were able to make it. Our next party will be in on a beach in Thailand. Read on >>
