Recognizing that progressive education is to be available for all ages and segments of the population the mission of Tomorrow’s FREE Online School, Inc. is to cultivate a lifetime love of learning by instilling a positive joy in the process. It is the intention to increase performance in the skills taught through making maximum use of modern technologies. The Directors are proven humanitarians with track records in service. They are united in their desire to make learning a rewarding and fulfilling experience both for teachers and students. Ultimately, participants in classes will become lifelong learners who will set an example for others.
i-genius spoke with Claire Power Murphy to talk about Tomorrow’s School, as part of the Getting Started Interview Series.
i-genius: Why did you start Tomorrow’s School?
Claire Power Murphy: Tomorrow’s Free Online School has been started in answer to a need for using technology to afford quality free education for all. The intention is to provide a platform to encourage expression of unique ideas proven helpful to humanity. The school supports the freedom to teach and the joy of learning.
Claire: A challenge has been getting more people to see the need for our type of school and subsequently to support our efforts.
i-genius: What are the most crucial things you have done to grow Tomorrow’s School?
Claire: Maximum use of affordable publicity has been utilized. There now exists a video, slideshare, radio episodes and a webinar showing a sample lesson.
We have a presence on social media, humanitarian, and numerous other sites.Whenever an opportunity such as this one arises (i-genius interview) I pursue it.
Claire: A good candidate for President must have a history of manifesting good character so the people will trust that he/she is acting in their best interest. Further, he/she must be open to new ideas proven to work and then exert an effort to implement them.
i-genius: What problem(s) is education facing across the globe?
Claire: Respect for education needs to be established. People need to understand that the word education means to lead forward. They need to recognize that if society is to advance it needs the basic tools and then enrichment.
i-genius: What’s unique about Tomorrow’s School?
Claire: Tomorrow’s School stands strongly for upgrading character through knowledge and application of moral and natural laws which includes health and the ernvironment.
i-genius: What is your favourite motto in life?
