Nigerian Youth

Oh God, inspire me with the spirit that I may see the way to true greatness: that I may not be selfish in seeking academic greatness ‘and riches’ and thereby forget that my main objective in life is to make lighter the burden of existence for my fellowman.
- Zik of Africa
The above simply illustrates the very essence of human existence yet, we must be sure of balancing our struggle for riches and greatness with justice and equity to ensure we lighten the burden of everyman and woman around the globe, especially with the invention of the Internet which has forced globalization into the hands of those who dreaded it and made happier those who court it.
Under my leadership, the Youth Against Cyber Crimes and Fraud In Nigeria, would continually be a strenuous promoter of the these very essence of life. The life of integrity as an avenue to lasting joy and wealth. Cyber crimes and fraud perpetration is one of the greatest injustices man has caused himself. At every stage, under all circumstances we should always look at the human race as the only race on earth and then relate to everyone as brothers and sisters, irrespective of race, creed, religion and geographical location. With these consciousness, everyone would be truthful to each other, bringing about a cyber crimes and fraud free world were everyone will get for himself substantially what he has earned.
As young people, we have to cut our taste’ by being content with what we have and have – not. We must be constantly renewing our minds and placing demands on higher value systems. This is because, we carry on our shoulders a greater burden, the burden of nation building and if we must build our nation, we must first build ourselves, by imbibing an irretrievable character of sincerity and honesty at all times. A character that would produce a good reputation in the Nigerian youth.
It is true that poverty is pervasive among most of us especially as a result of failed infrastructural facilities through governments’ illegalities, but how can we fight poverty caused by illegalities with the illegality of cyber crimes and fraud related issues? At every stage, under all circumstances, the essence of the struggle to fight poverty is to equalize opportunities for the sake of the entire citizenry – the sake of humanity.
Certainly, we have no other Nigeria, let us serve our fatherland, by bracing hardwork and honesty. Cyber crimes and fraud would lead us nowhere; rather it destroys our creative ability, global trust and may in the long run cause isolation among the comity of nations. We are the future Nigeria, ours is to prepare ourselves for leadership and we cannot be preparing for leadership while we are deeply engrossed in fraudulent acts. Let us make Nigeria great again by not allowing the labor of our heroes past and present to be in vain.
