First Steps

STEP is in its infancy, it is a UK based charity working predominantly in the South Pacific. We have found that endangered species conservation in the South Pacific is generally research based as does not involve local communities. We believe that conservation will never work unless it is community led. We are planning to run education programmes across the South Pacific on enabling communites to create their own conservation strategies, mentoring them throughout the process.

Vicky - would like to offer support from WSP Environmental. We have a global resource base of over 900 staff covering North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Middle East and Australia. Our ecology and environmental planning team could offer consultancy and ecological management skills to assist your sea turtle project both in London and Fiji. Best regards Mark Elton Technical Director - Environmental Planning WSP Environmental
