Profile

I have a BSc(hons) degree in Applied Computng and I currently work as an IT Project Manager. I have known for a long time that this is not ultimately what I want to do for the rest of my life. I always knew that I wanted to do something to help young people and people that needed some inspiration, motivation and support in their lives. I became a voluntary positive role mentor to young people in an East London secondary school and began to look at alternative careers because I just knew that this is what I wanted to be doing all the time, not just a few hours a week! I looked at becoming a learning mentor, teacher and counsellor but none of them quite covered what it was I wanted to do, and all three still meant working for someone else. Then I discovered life coaching and I knew instantly that it was what I wanted to do - become and life coach and mentor. I have now setup my own life coaching practice and I am in the process of writing some programmes for young people to develop their self-worth, self-confidence and the importance of self-reliance. I am currently looking for mentoring opportunities as well advice from anyone who has already created programmes aimed at young people and that have successfully in getting schools and organisations to sign up to their programmes.
