In what is becoming a regular event, Thomas Murphy is donating another collection of his personal artwork of sketches to the Illinois based arts charity Photographers Without Borders.
Thomas Murphy's collection (which has a working title 'Walking Cafe Latte') to PWB includes photographic works of the tribal Khassis community taken in Assam last year; portraits of spice and coffee plantation workers; and a series of early charcoal, pencil and ink nude life drawings, including several of Thomas's collegue and partner, Sanjay Kumar.
Photographers Without Borders was created to provide educational and financial support, as well mentoring opportunities to socially excluded communities through the promotion and sale of fine art photography.
Thomas Murphy and Sanjay Kumar are currently busy working on the new cookbook ‘Street foods of South Asia: a backpackers companion’, to be published by IndiaOrganix, the Indian food brand created by MIKA PR.
