21st Century Network was set up to discuss some of the great issues of our millennium and bring back the hope that we can do something about it. This is a group for those who believe that we need to develop a new form of humanism that includes people of all religions and none but who embrace humanistic values as the basis of their actions. These are values of global compassion, personal self-discovery, shared development, planetary concern and a love of community. One commentator states,
"I think this group has the potential to make a very important contribution on a number of global challenges that are and will affect our lives in the future. By inviting members of the public, NGO practicioners, policy makers and government representatives to these meetings the group could become an important think tank on a number of issues fostering important linkages between the state and civil society in Britain and beyond."
Join this group and be part of this process...
On September 29th we will be holding a meeting to discuss "the social business revolution" that is happening around the globe and whether this is as important to the 21st century as the Co-operative movement was for the 19th. How can we create a business community that works in harmony with our environment and practices social responsibility? How can we develop business that redistributes to the poor where the profit motive alone is no longer dominant?Find out more about this meeting here ....
