Thank You,Obama

In his inaugural address, President Barack Obama made a strong statement reaffirming his campaign pledges to the world's poorest citizens. He said: "To the people of poor nations, we pledge to work alongside you to make your farms flourish and let clean waters flow; to nourish starved bodies and feed hungry minds. And to those nations like ours that enjoy relative plenty, we say we can no longer afford indifference to suffering outside our borders; nor can we consume the world's resources without regard to effect. For the world has changed, and we must change with it." We can make a difference by showing our support for his ongoing commitment to the fight against global poverty and preventable disease, and encouraging him to follow through on his inaugural commitments with a strong Fiscal Year 2010 Presidential budget request. I just sent President Obama a thank you note at ONE.org and you can too, here: http://www.one.org/thankobama/
