To celebrate the first anniversary since its incorporation on June 14, 2010, the Foundation for Global Collaboration and Peace launched its official website: http://www.fgcnp.org.
"I had wanted to built this site since the very beginning," says Founder and CEO, Wendy Hong, who initiated the Foundation's activities in October of 2009 and designed the site. "It feels great to finally see it realized--thanks to Lira's help."
Lira Kamat, of Odxel LLC, is the Web Developer for the site. She began volunteering for the Foundation on March 25, 2011.
According to Ms. Hong, the site that has been launched today is only the first version: "it will grow with the Foundation as we achieve further operational goals in the months to come," she says.
Currently, the Foundation is also in the process of applying for 501(c)(3) US federal charity status recognition, with the aid of international law firm Fulbright & Jaworski LLP.
The NGO also plans to roll out its Science-art education program within the next calendar year.
