JAM Foundations Aims

posted on Monday, February 08, 2010 07:25 PM

The JAM Foundation was set up in January 2009 to assist new musicians in the South East in getting their music heard, putting them in touch with industry contacts and to provide them with general support as they climb the long ladder to fame!

JAM are the initials of Jake Alexander Moss, a local Crowborough man who was tragically killed in a car accident on 5th October 2008. Tributes poured in from hundreds of people, and for Jake, setting up this charity is the best compliment anyone could pay to his life, filled with music, festivals and friends.

JAM Foundation was the brainchild of Carli Cooper, a close friend of Jakes, she wanted to create something that would celebrate his life, at the same time as providing support to musicians, music being the lifeblood of everything he stood for.

JAM plans to go massive - why just stop in the South East? There is a whole world out there and hundreds of thousands of bands that are just waiting for their chance to put what they do to the public!

With it's network of friends, professionals and support from people directly and indirectly connected with Jake, JAM has the potential to do a huge amount of good for music and musicians.

The Charity's Trustees consist of Jake's Dad, Keith 'Mossy' Moss, Jake's best friends; Adam 'Shorty' Short, & Carli Jazmine Cooper and friend of Carli's, Mark Nicholson.

Together they are working to create something different, something special and something worthwhile. Music is the soul of life - everyone has a song that reminds them of a specific time in their life. Everyone has upbeat songs that make them smile and songs that make them reflect.

Support the JAM Foundation and you will benefit directly from the people it has been set up to assist. After all festivals and live music venues which you visit, will start to grow with all the new bands that want you to listen to them!
