Mind the Gap!

In London (as with many inner cities) there are many youth who are walking around with little hope of their future. Faced with poverty, increasing violence, drug use and sometimes the lack of support from their families, they often drift through life with no aim or hope.
MIND THE GAP! for STUDENTS is a programme I run in communities and schools/colleges to give kids some hope. Using the analogy of a journey on the underground as a framework for students to realise their magnificence.
Often I am asked can you really make a difference Dave?
Do kids really care about what you have to say?
And I have to say yes! I have the testimonials to prove it.
Confronting knife wielding, frustrated bullies and disaffected youth with my life story including my tragedies, mistakes, humour and empowering stories of others does make a difference.
Whilst many may write off kids I believe that all they need is a bit of mutual respect, hope and a map for their journey.
