99 Stories

I met a remarkable woman called Yene in Tanzania earlier this year with a real passion for change on a local, national and regional level in Africa. She is compiling a project called “Why Leadership Matters: 99 Voices on the Role of Leadership in African Development” and she is looking for people who have a passion for change in Africa to write some essays on change on the continent.
In her words
“Contributions are short (one to three) page essays. So far, we have input from individuals ranging from our Heads of States to Senior International Development practitioners, including the voices of women in the marketplace, voices of young professionals, students, etc. I hope that hearing these different voices will allow us to promote a conversation about the importance of leadership at all levels to move forward and fulfill our potential. School children and college students will read this book, but also policy makers, government officials and hopefully many others - to learn, to get insight and have access to inspirational wisdom.
I would be so truly honored if you would voice your vision for Africa, and share your personal experiences and perspectives on Leadership and its impact on development. (Why does it matter in “your” life? How has it marked “your” work, “your” education, “your” family, etc…).
If you are interested in contributing to this or know of others with a heart of Africa please contact me directly so I can pass this on to her. I am off to start mine.

Where would one look to find our more information on Africa? And where would one look if they wanted to invest in Africa?

Hey Barry, sorry for the delay. I could point you in the direction of a few people (members on here included) who could help with any specific cause you have on this.
