World Entrepreneurship Summit

I had the pleasure of attending this event last week and taking part in the youth enterprise panel. The theme of the summit was to "stimulate sustainable economic development through entrepreneurship.”

It is theme I am sure that will continue through 2008 and beyond but it was definitely rewarding to see how many social enterprises are getting their head in gear and aiming to run businesses not handout basket cases in order to combat and deal with social issues such as the environment, poverty, tourism, etc.

Some great contacts were made and partnerships formed at this event and it was awesome to meet some of the members who I had met online at the event.

As my extended Jamaican family would say "forward ever backward never"
