Interned in the Business Development department of Oxfam International before working in Calcutta, India, with an organisation called 'Future Hope'. Recently completed an MA in Development Management, where I became specifically interested in the role of the media in development issues, having also studied at the London School of Journalism, media and development issues and the relationship between the two is something that really interests me. Am particularly interested in the often negative focus and cliched portrayal of Africa. Have been spending a lot of time recently looking at the i-genius website and how we can make it easier and more effective to use...Think this friend's network has the potential to be really great, and I'm sure it will continue to improve over time! Now that the newsletter has also gone out, I think it might be time for a cuppa tea! Look forward to hearing all your stories....

Hi Jo ... thanks for the comment .....its good to be here on such a col platform ..... yeah the channel is basically me and one other dude just now ... so come some go .. anything you want to know just ask anything I can help with just ask ..... you never know until you do ...... things that are needed for this development .....mmmmmm ..... the usual and same as everyone on here I guess .... a big everything ... take care and keep up the good work mark

Jo, The one thing i-genius lacks above all, is a discussion forum, something common in US based social networks but strangely absent from most UK based efforts. In my experience , there's no better way to catalyse collaborative action.
