Things to Do for the month of May

Life sometimes can be so stressful. I decided to do a list of things to do every month to make it more relaxing and enjoyable.

Things to Do, Enjoy, and Savor:

1.Touch the petals of a flower, any flower. It could be the ones that grow on the streets, on a shop, on a garden.

2.Breathe in the freshness of early morning air; make sure it is not the polluted kind.

3.Listen to the birds sing.

4.Let the buzz of the city beat with your heart.

5.Sing. Sing out loud.

6.Dance. Sway with the music.

7.Turn off the lights; light up a candle, and watch the flame move.

8.Kiss a photo of a love one.

9.Kiss a love one.

10.Prepare a chocolate to drink. Hold the cup in your hands and feel its warmth.

11.Eat a favorite food. Close your eyes. Savor each flavor on your palate.

12.Laugh. Laugh Out Loud!

13.Run. Feel the exhilarating wind as you speed on.

14.Go cycling up on a street or a hill and when you go back downhill let go of the pedals and feel the breeze on your face, the wind passing on your whole body.

15.Hug. 7 hugs a day keep the doctor away.

16.Take an orange. Feel the texture of it on your palms. Smell the citrus sweetness of it. Enjoy it as you eat; the flavors exploding on your tongue.

17.Call your mom. Some things you cannot change; same goes with persons. Call your mom.

18. Write a poem. Wherever. Even on table napkins.

19.Walk a dog. Let it lick your face or, at least, your hands.

20.Sleep. The longer, the better.

21.Read a book. If it is fiction, do not just understand the story but also read between the lines.

22.Go through old letters and photos. Reminisce. Then smile at the bright future.

23.Travel. It does not have to be thousands of miles away. Maybe just that street you never knew existed.

24.If it rains, smell the earth. It gives you a feeling of being really human, and being one with Mother Earth.

25.Watch kids run, play, talk, and laugh. The innocence of it is very refreshing.

26.Send messages to persons you have not spoken to for a long time.

27.Have a foot spa. You can even do it at home!

28.Smile. Just because.

29.Play chess with a friend or a love one. Do it with sound effects! Kavooooom! whaaack!

30.Learn some foreign words.

31.Love.

* One for each day of the month but not necessarily done only once or alone. If possible do more than 5 of the "tasks" in a day!

* It is obligatory that all tasks are done with passion!
