LHC & Invisible Children

This week saw the start-up of the Large Hadron Collider, the world's largest and highest energy particle accelerator complex. A project which took around 20 years to develop, and the collaboration of over 9,000 scientists world-wide. The aim is to collide beams of protons to recreate the Big Bang in order to find the God Particle (Higgs Boson), which in turn will unlock all the secrets to evolution. No doubt that this is the biggest ever physics experiment to take place. The coming weeks will tell us whether scientists make new discoveries or simply create a black hole and consume us all to death.

However, that wasn't the reason why I wrote this post. Recently, I had the opportunity to watch Invisible Children. A short documentary about the forgotten child soldiers in Uganda. It's a very touching documentary that will stay with me for a long time to come. So, if you have 55 minutes to spare... then please watch Invisble Children at Free Documentaries (this is a fantastic website with a collection of many deep and thought provocative documentaries).

Lastly, please support the Invisible Children project!

There is a lot of injustice and silent tears going on in Africa, our mother land. These children go through emotions and challenges that we can't even begin to imagine.

You thoughts and emotions are exactly the same as mine after I watched the documentary and browsed the website. Such things are inhumane. We should draft up some sort of think tank to build a secure area where children are able to live freely.
