Making Change

To change, we need a new way of thinking. Henry David Thoreau wrote: As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in your mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kinds of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives. Change is the result of consciously repeating a thought long enough until it becomes a natural part of your everyday thinking. If change is what you desire, then mindfully repeating thoughts that support that change is critical. Philosopher Earl Nightingale stated, “You become what you think about!” (Thanks you Dr. John H. Sklare)
