Kristle launched her first social venture at the age of 19 when she established the University of Toronto Environmental Resource Network (UTERN) and hasn\'t stopped since. She is deeply committed to supporting a new generation of social innovators as they translate their talent, energy and ingenuity into real and lasting impact. As a result, she is taking it GLOBAL and now heads-up the Sprout E-course (www.sproutecourse.org) for aspiring young social entrepreneurs. Kristle inspires, informs and empowers others to build a better world through iNSPiRED PRACTiCE. Established in 2007, iNSPiRED PRACTiCE is Kristle\'s second social venture - a social-purpose enterprise that creates strategies and tools for conscientious businesses and enterprising non-profits to grow sustainably. iNSPiRED PRACTiCE combines the compassion at the heart of the citizen sector with the ambition at the core of traditional entrepreneurship to evolve workplaces and communities toward a values-based standard. In October 2010, Kristle became a founding member of the Centre for Social Innovation Annex in Toronto and looks forward to surfacing opportunities for collaboration. When she is at play, you can find her undertaking home-improvement projects with her hubby, indulging in exceptionally tasty food, and blogging about inspired living.

Fair Trade Halloween

October 31st is nearing and you know what that means - Halloween! It is my favourite holiday - dressing up in costume, carving pumpkins, decorating your home with creepy crawlies and candy! But when it comes to Halloween candy, there is nothing scarier than impoverished cocoa farmers and child labourers.
Halloween is one of those holidays when children (in particular but not exclusively) are free to be creative, imaginative and have fun. Let’s help to ensure that all children around the world are afforded the same opportunity. Go fair trade this Halloween!
