Following the death of our friend and collegue Milo Small, MIKA last wednesday appointed Santosh Bannerjee to manage our specialist travel marketing team.
Santosh will be responsible for managing and developing our Pilgrim Tours brand in India and South Asia.
Pilgrim Tours is a travel concept developed in-house by the MIKA marketing team in London. The brand promotes spiritual retreats, pilgrims, and religious holiday opportunities now available in the Indian subcontinent.
Pilgrim Tours works in partnership with 12 specialist religious tour operators in India; temple authorities, spiritual retreats, and mosques in South Asia.

Santosh, a lifelong student of Hinduism, studied international tourism management at London Metropolitan University, and finance & marketing at the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), in Ghaziabad.
Until recently Santosh lived in Uttar Pradesh, in the city of Benares (Varanasi), close to the campus of Banaras Hindu University where he worked as an administrator in his family's 90 year old textile export business.
Pilgrim Tours target audience is the UK & EU multifaith communities including Hindu's, Sikh's, Catholics, Jains, Buddhists, Moslem and Anglican's.
In 2007, about 4 million UK & EU tourists visited India and spent US$ 8.9 billion.
