World Leadership Day Ambassadorship

I have been blessed to be invited to be an Ambassador for World Leadership Day 2009 representing Barbados.
I have always had an interest in successful leadership and continue to be inspired by such people as Gandhi, Mother Teresa, the Dalai Lama, Errol Barrow and Bob Marley because of their almost selfless leadership.
You may remember my activities in March this year during Conversation Week, where we explored the subject: What kind of leadership does the world need now? See this link for our findings.
World Leadership Day is inspired by visionary Elisabeth Gortschacher and is a
'global, grassroots initiative to inspire, connect and transform leadership thinking across generations, gender and cultures. It is a platform for new leadership to emerge and for disillusioned and burnt out leaders to reconnect with what is truly important and bring meaning, joy and passion back into their lives.' It was started in 2007.
I certainly endorse such initiatives and I am looking forward to enjoying myself while influencing thinking on leadership among this wonderful, passionate and energetic group.
Fellow GAIAn Terrill Welch, Female Leadership advocate and the author of 'Leading Raspberry Jam Visions: Women's Way' [the book I quoted from at theFABEE launch in October] recommended me and is the Ambassador for Canada.
We will be announcing our activities via our individual websites and that of WLD hoping to of course get as many people worldwide involved, so please do not hesitate to spread the word.
More news as it comes to hand.
How exciting!
Peace and love to all friends.
Sincerely,
Sherrilene
