Sherrilene Collymore is an international professional in the field of People or Human Capital Development. Once again hq2 will join with the Conversation Café [http://www.conversationcafe.org] for Global Conversation Week (March 23rd to 27th, 2009) to host a conversation, and will pair the World Leadership Day activity for this. Global Conversation Week is an opportunity for hosts and guests everywhere to discuss the most important questions and begin moving communally towards solutions.
“The new US President, Barack Obama, has called for dialogue - with citizens and with nations, friends and foes alike. The Dalai Lama called the 21st Century the century of dialogue. The central task of our time is to speak from the heart, listen with respect and seek truth together. And this is the core ideal and practice of the Conversation Cafes.”
Expanding on last year’s Conversation on the topic ‘What kind of leadership does the world need now?’, we will merge the World Leadership Day Theme of ‘Beyond the Surface’ to discuss the subject ‘Mobilising Minds - How do we access the intellectual capital of our people?’ The outputs will be summarised and reported locally and internationally.
The event will take place on Friday March 27th at Bajan Art Forms, Pelican Craft Village, Harbour Road, St. Michael, at 5:00 p.m.

World Leadership Day 2009 is inspired by visionary Elisabeth Gortschacher and is a
'global, grassroots initiative to inspire, connect and transform leadership thinking across generations, gender and cultures. It is a platform for new leadership to emerge and for disillusioned and burnt out leaders to reconnect with what is truly important and bring meaning, joy and passion back into their lives.' It was started in 2007.
