Coming Soon – Better Practice Sharing In Healthcare

The Global Knowledge Exchange Network in healthcare, GKEN, has drawn up plans in Antigua, Guatemala, to design a new online platform which will enable organisations to share better practice in healthcare. The aim of the platform will be to enable healthcare professionals, patient groups, community organisations to share information on a global basis. Crucially, the plans enable the sharing of “better practice” and emerging highly innovative solutions in addition to those defined as “best practice” which require a tougher quality hurdle. Such an approach, it is hoped, will enable fresher newer more innovative ideas to be circulated around the world.

Attending the Antigua conference were individuals from Well Point, Yale University, Wellpoint, University of Pompeu, McKinsey, Global Benefits Whirlpool, National University of Singapore and hosted by leading healthcare pioneer, Jon Comola of Wye River and funded by CIGNA.

i-genius founder, Tommy Hutchinson spoke at the conference on social marketing and building world communities. He said, “what has been agreed here in Guatemala is hugely significant. For the first time, people around the world involved in healthcare will be able to circulate information and access the other great practices being developed around the world. The dream is to transform the distribution of healthcare information making it excessible to everyone and not just an elite group of professionals. I am sure, in time other great social causes such as the environment, crime prevention and so forth will look to develop similar models to that being discussed here in Antigua.”
