Examining social and economic impact

Tomorrow i-genius head out to Slovenia to attend the Social Entrepreneurship Initiative 2020: SI-UK Perspective Conference, which is being organised by The Slovene Forum of Social Enterpreneurship, the British Council Slovenia and the British Embassy in Ljubljana. Slovene and UK experts will look at different types of social enterprises, explore environments they require to be successful, and examine their social and economic impact.

The aim of the conference is to show how social enterprises provide an important way of tackling Europe’s current economic and social challenges, especially among young unemployed and disadvantaged populations. As one of the leading countries in the field, the UK supports the development of social enterprise and social investment to help build a more inclusive, sustainable and prosperous future in Europe.

i-genius’ Tommy Hutchinson will be part of a panel discussion exploring the Landscape of Social Entrepreneurship – ideas, challenges and resourcefulness, followed by hosting a two-hour workshop on social enterprise marketing.
