Country: Website: http://bohapo.cfsites.org/

i-genius: How did you hear about i-genius, and why did you join the community?
Edwin:
I have always believed that the internet can bring people together to solve challenges facing communities .I came across i-genius website which impressed me from the google and that’s how i joined

i-genius: Tell us about yourself and BOHAPO AND JAED HOMESTAYS?
Edwin:
I am 34 years old married to Mrs Jacqueline Wamuya with two kids a boy Elkins Wamuya who is nine years and a girl Terry Wamuya six years old.I come from a community that is very poor and my wife and i decided to bring the youth who were focused within the community and start to fight poverty. We started in 2004 by contributing money at the end of the month and help the poor but with time in 2005 we decided to register it as a non profit organization called BOHAPO and involve our friends from other communities. That is when we started receiving  volunteers from all over the world. The volunteers liked our food, environment, our lifestyle and that when we started JAED HOMESTAYS AND ECO-TOURISM since we got some people who wanted to come for holiday and relax but they don’t want to volunteer

i-genius: How do you think social entrepreneurship will shape the world in the next few years?
Edwin:
People coming together, thinking together will definitely improve the world that we live in thus shaping it.People have different ways of working and different talents and this helping in handling the challenges differently and also identifying strengths of different places

i-genius: What are your future goals with the work that you do?
Edwin:
My future goal is getting my community  to a level where we dont see poor people in my community lacking basic needs.

i-genius: Where would you like your next holiday to be?
Edwin:
I rarely go for holiday but am planing to go for holiday of two weeks next week in United Kingdom.
