ahhh….. there is Big Hope at last.

In its role as official European Capital of culture 2008, 600 future leaders from over 50 countries will be converging in Liverpool for The Big Hope Global Youth Congress, 4th – 11th June. The gathering will hear from Mary McAleese President of the Republic of Ireland, former Indian President APJ Abdul Kalam, Cherie Booth QC, religious leaders Cormac Murphy O’Connor Roman Catholic Archbishop of Westminster, The Chief Rabbi Sir Jonathan Sacks Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth, Imam (Dr) Muhammad Ashafa of the Interfaith Mediation Centre, Nigeria plus former top UK diplomat Sir Stephen Wall and Dr. Al-Iryani Advisor for Yemen’s President Mr. Ali Abdullah Saleh. Tommy Hutchinson, founder of i-genius, will also be speaking at the conference on Ethical Economics where he will be outlining how he believes social entrepreneurs can help the world emerge from the current economic downturn.
 
But it won’t all be talk. Tommy and Luke Aikman of Enterbootcamps will be delivering a workshop over 5 days on turning good ideas into a social business.
 
Ahhh….. there is Big Hope at last.
