British-Arab Exchanges are calling

British-Arab Exchanges are calling

skills and value for effective leadership

BAX (British-Arab Exchanges) are calling all those who can meet, share and learn from a group of young people from the Palestinian Territories who are shaping their society for the better. With BAX there’s a chance to meet and share with 20-30 year olds who are making a difference in Palestine; documentary makers, human rights campaigners, youth workers, students, and project organisers.

BAX is welcoming nine Palestinian professionals to a two-week leadership training programme, taking place in London and Belfast. Delegates, all in their twenties and thirties, are from a cross-section of civil society organisations in both the West Bank and Gaza.

The programme aims to equip participants with skills and values for effective leadership by providing:

  • A privileged insight into aspects of society through meetings with civic, community and national leaders in different parts of the UK
  • Opportunities for building enduring relationships with British counterparts
  • Training in leadership, communication, personal and professional development
  • Opportunities for the visiting group to share experiences of life in Palestine and their ideas for its future.
You can meet with them from 19th Nov – 26th as they tour London and Oxford and join in an IofC (Initiatives of Change) Youth Forum on Sat 26th. You can spend time with them, go along with them as they meet MPs, visit radio stations or look round Oxford university and do some sightseeing.
