On September 29th, less than a year to go until the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Business in the Community (BITC) launched arc, a free service project which will support social enterprises to create 1000 jobs in the host boroughs by 2015 by connecting them to expert support and business opportunities to help them grow. i-genius is officially a proud strategic partner of this wonderful initiative that will leave a lasting legacy long after the olympic dust has settled.

The areas surrounding the Olympic Park are some of the most deprived boroughs and communities in the country. The host borough area covers Greenwich, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest and Barking & Dagenham. Hosting the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games presents a unique opportunity for the economic and social regeneration of the area.  BITC with the help of i-genius and others will use the excitement and profile generated as a catalyst to create jobs and opportunities for the host boroughs ensuring social, business, and environmental sustainability.

arc is supported by a collaboration of Olympic partners led by Founder Partners (and Business in the Community members) BP and Deloitte. Everyone is proud that London, as the host city, is taking a lead to get sponsors working together to create a social legacy from hosting the Games. i-genius will provide specialist knowledge, skills, training and expertise via i-genius Academy, and support in events, media and marketing through i-genius Promotions.
