Mission Possible: Find New Social Entrepreneurs in the Persian Community

Ashoka PARSA Partnership for Social Entrepreneurship launches

Question: Which world community is a natural for social enterprise?

Answer: The Persian Community

The PARSA Community Foundation and Ashoka have teamed up and launched the Ashoka PARSA Partnership for Social Entrepreneurship to invite applicants of Iranian origin from anywhere in the world where Ashoka operates to become a celebrated Ashoka Fellow.

The aim: to build on the Persian community’s tradition of philanthropy and enterprise and develop new social entrepreneurs to follow in the footsteps of such Iranian visionaries as Dr. Mohammad Reza Hakimzadeh and Dr. Magda Iskander.

So if you’re a budding Iranian social entrepreneur who could use some help – and money (now, hey, who doesn’t!) – for three whopping years to get your top draw idea for a new social enterprise up and running, then the Ashoka PARSA Partnership for Social Entrepreneurship could be just the trick.

And, maybe, you and your idea could become another chapter in the fast-evolving global social entrepreneur story…
