Scaling up your social enterprise into China

Scaling up your social enterprise into China

6th – 8th November 2013

China is the world’s most populous country and major economic force in the world today. This creates an opportunity for social entrepreneurs across the world to scale up their programmes into China either through expansion or by finding a local partner.

If you are starting to think about extending the reach of your work into or within China, then think about attending this conference, which is being organised by The International Centre for Social Franchising  and i-genius along with a group of partners  who are active in promoting and supporting social enterprise in China.

The conference will explore appropriate replication strategies informed by selected case studies from around the world; it will provide an insight for social entrepreneurs on social enterprise in China and how to engage with Chinese partners; it will provide opportunities for participants to present their work and their plans so as to get feedback and possibly develop contacts with people or organisations in China who can help them; it will also give you an insight into the important role that China is playing in today’s world.

Participants will include social entrepreneurs from China and around the world, social enterprise support agencies, corporates and others.

The conference is being held in Shanghai and starts with an i-genius Cafe Shanghai evening reception on 6th November 2013. It then continues for two days from 7th to 8th November with i-genius delivering a scenario game workshop; the registration costs just £70, which excludes airfare, visa and hotel costs for which you should allow around £700.
