Shower and shoes control, aka New Year Resolutions

1. Was 2008 a good year for you?

Vixie: hmm… 2008 was a very challenging year for me. Everybody is aware of the ongoing economic crisis and I can easily say that I am heavily affected by it. I am an immigrant in Spain. A lot of people in here are losing their jobs. People are struggling to keep their jobs and I am one of them. I continue to have a good laugh and smile though.

2. What are you trying to achieve in 2009?

Vixie: good question! simple things, really… speak better Spanish, get a better job, know more people, have a minimum 1 month vacation in the Philippines. it would sound better maybe if i say that i will try to do something good for the world. i am too honest to myself though… so i think i would start with myself… like turn off the pc when i am not using it (nosebleeding already)… not spend an hour in the shower (geez)… find the time to write a few more articles that, hopefully, will affect people to do good…

3. What is your New Years resolution?

Vixie: do i really have to have one??? i won´t buy more shoes…no! mmm…. geeez…. just thinking that there will be a lot of people who will know what´s my new year´s resolution makes me get worried that i wouldn´t be able to do it… well… that´s a good idea… not worry too much! que sera sera…

4. What do you think is the most important social political or economic issue facing the world?

Vixie: the most important? i think it is the idea of ¨we and them¨. ¨we¨ thinks that climate change is a serious problem. ¨they¨ think that we should not do anything about it. ¨we and they¨ start arguing. ¨we¨ thinks that USA should take part in the conflict. ¨they¨ thinks that they should leave them. ¨we and they¨ start arguing. ¨we¨ are poor. ¨they¨ are rich and don´t care about us. ¨we¨ are christians. ¨they¨ are muslims. we. them. that´s a very serious issue. why not stop classifying and just start moving.

***I tried my best to stay serious! really!
