CSR is getting personal

CSR is getting personal

being socially responsible in business

Corporate Social Responsibility or CSR has been the defining aim of all eco-friendly, community minded corporations this past decade or more but now it’s becoming personal. I-genius member Arvind Devalia thinks every social entrepreneur should have their own personal social plan and to assist this process, he has published a new book entitled Personal Social Responsibility – A powerful workbook for being socially responsible in business.

The book sets out 52 stages to developing your own plan from encouraging you to ask a range of questions from “How will the world be a better place because you have lived” to more tricky ones like “How will you reduce your carbon footprint to a minimal level”?  But don’t be frightened, this is not a management version of War and Peace. The best thing about the book is that it is easy to follow, with lots of space to record your own thoughts and cheerily free from all that dreary pompous jargon that plagues most management books. If only every management book was as well written as Arvind’s, people might actually read them.

And view Arvind’s profile for our exclusive interview with the author.
