Open Style Lab

Creative Clothing for People of all Abilities.

Open Style Lab (OSL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making style and clothing accessible to people of all abilities. In addition to performing continuous research in the field, OSL holds various events and educational programs to raise awareness and build accessible wearables with designers, engineers, and occupational therapists. Initiated at MIT in 2014, OSL currently operates in NYC in partnership with Parsons School of Design.

OSL’s key aims are:

1. Increase awareness about the importance of clothing accessibility for people with disabilities.

2. Equipping our community with the skills to create accessible clothing.

3. Develop and distribute clothing designs and technologies that will increase clothing accessibility.
