The Globe’s Best Healthy Workplaces Announced in Melbourne

2019’s best employers for having the most exceptional healthy workplace programme were announced today at the 7th Global Healthy Workplace Summit at Monash University, Melbourne.

The Global Centre for Healthy Workplaces Awards winners were:

Small and Medium-sized category: Global Prairie (USA)

Global Prairie SME Winner 2019
Large Enterprise category: Hero MotoCorp (India)

The runners up in the prestigious global Awards programme were: VitaS (Belgium), Swisse Wellness (Australia), Marisol (Brazil) and Reliance Industries (India).

The winning programmes illustrate and highlight the importance of integrated approaches to workplace health which includes occupational health, psychosocial risk management, wellness and the role of enterprises in communities can lead to enhanced productivity, reduced absenteeism and improved employee morale and motivation, as well as return on investment.

Under the mantra of ‘Good Health is Good Business’ the gathering of business leaders, health experts and investors discussed the growing importance between strong health and wellness of employees and productivity.

The Summit also saw the 4th Global Alliance for Healthy Workplaces roundtable take place and a Capacity Building Seminar on “How to Create a Healthy Workplace” in partnership with the International Association for Worksite Health Promotion (IAWHP). The Summit also recognised certified healthy workplace companies. TLC Healthcare (Australia), Hero MotoCorp (India) and Reliance Industries (India).

“The link between health and workplace performance is proven. Employers are becoming increasingly sophisticated in their approach and implementation of good programmes with a growing emphasis on stress reduction, nutrition and physical activity. It was a real honour to hear from the best employers at the inspiring setting of Monash University” said Tommy Hutchinson, Co-founder of the Global Centre for Healthy Workplaces.
