‘Promise or Pay’, is a newly launched Australia based social enterprise start-up that creates a more engaging and empowering way for individuals to donate to organisations that are making a real difference in the world. It’s vision is to create a platform that will inspire millions of people to be the best they can be and, at the same time, encourage and facilitate millions of dollars in donations.
Promise or Pay allows you to publicly promise to do something or pay a nominated contribution to a charity if you don’t follow through. In doing so, Promise or Pay motivates people to do the things they most want to do with their lives, while creating a more engaging way for individuals to donate to charities that are making a real difference in the world. Recently, Promise or Pay received a honourable mention at The Guardian’s Activate Tech Talent Day, the Guardian’s platform for innovators working with the Internet to change the world.
